Finally, the wait is over. With the canonical reveal of Super Saiyan 4 Goku in Dragon Ball Daima Episode 18, the series is creating series history.

Dragon Ball Daima’s new episode starts where the previous one ended. King Gomah, the previously miniature demon king who was massively augmented by the omnipotent Evil Third Eye, was in charge of Goku and his friends. King Gomah’s energy beam almost kills Goku, forcing him to use Super Saiyan 3 as a last resort. But as this episode demonstrated, Goku had one more ace in the hole that no one, including he, could have predicted.

Super Saiyan 4 is Now Canon as of Dragon Ball DAIMA Episode 18 “Awakening”

Super Saiyan 4 Goku’s sudden showing in Dragon Ball Daima Episode 18, “Awakening,” will sweep the net. Akio Iyoku, one of the Dragon Ball series executive producers, alluded to this astonishing revelation in a recent interview. “There will be unbelievable action sequences and surprising turns,” Iyoku said. “We’ll surprise you even if you think you know the plot. Seeing the episodes from the start may provide you with more details. The sudden introduction of Super Saiyan 3 Vegeta in Daima Episode 12 was the first indication that this 40th-anniversary series was about to make waves, even without the interview.”.

In honor of the milestone anniversary of the series, Dragon Ball Daima officially debuts a whole new redesign. After all, with its iconic showdown between Frieza and Super Saiyan Goku on Planet Namek in Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball pioneered the shonen anime and manga trope of transformations. Super Saiyan 2 and Super Saiyan 3 of Dragon Ball Z and Super Saiyan 4 of Dragon Ball GT are just two of numerous of other Super Saiyan variations to be part of the franchise. Yet, the anime-only idea of Super Saiyan 4 was abandoned during the era of Dragon Ball Super in favour of the colour-coded Super Saiyan God varieties.

The unveiling of Goku’s Ultra Instinct in Dragon Ball Super Episode 129 left the world stunned, although some fans had grumbled about the colour change. Will Dragon Ball’s Daima be next? Dragon Ball’s Daima ratings have shot up ahead of this scene in Episode 18, but too soon to tell. Iyoku says this is only the beginning of the iceberg.

There are just two episodes remaining in Dragon Ball Daima. Episode 20, the last episode, will be broadcast on Friday, February 28, 2025. Although there has been no announcement of Daima being renewed for another season, Iyoku is optimistic that the Dragon Ball franchise will go on “for decades to come.”

New episodes of Dragon Ball Daima each Friday. Starting on January 10, the English dub, starring Stephanie Nadolny as Goku (Mini), will debut a new episode weekly. The following is from the official plot description of the series: “Goku and gang were living peaceful lives until they all of a sudden got miniaturized because of some plot!” “They discover the reason behind that could be a world named ‘Demon Realm’ and then in front of them appears Glorio, a mysterious youth Majin.”
