The Dragon Ball Super season 2 release date promises more from Goku and the Z Fighters, but something equally interesting is coming in the anime series. What is the release date for Dragon Ball Super season 2? Dragon Ball Z was a huge introduction to anime for so many of us in the 1990s, sparking a communal passion that has lasted to this day. So we were ecstatic in 2015 when all of our favourite characters returned for the sequel series Dragon Ball Super.
Dragon Ball Super, which spans five sagas, is another of Akira Toriyama’s best anime, reintroducing many of the best Dragon Ball Z characters like as Goku and Vegeta. There are wild battles, some tangled drama, and more than one time when some of the best anime characters become enraged and change their hair colour. However, we’ve been anxiously waiting for new episodes since 2018. So we’ve pulled out our Dragon Radar to trawl the internet. Here’s all we know about Dragon Ball Super season 2!
Dragon Ball Super Season 2 Release Date Speculation
Although we have not confirmed Dragon Ball Super season 2 yet, a new series titled Dragon Ball: Daima will premiere in Fall 2024.
While the anime film Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero paved the way for another epic, the panel at New York Comic Con announced that a new show will replace season 2.
However, there is plenty to be thrilled about, as Akira Toriyama is directing Daima, and animators have hinted that it would overtly carry Super threads. Florence Jay Dominguito, a Toei Animation Philippines staff member, remarked on the program in an interview posted on the official Dragon Ball website. “As a fan, I’m looking forward to new movies and merchandise,” they told me. “I’m also excited about the new anime that will continue.” They may have misspoke, but it doesn’t look like this will be a wild detour like GT – and thank Shenron for that!
Who’s in the Dragon Ball Super season 2 cast?
There have been no casting announcements for Dragon Ball Super season 2 or Dragon Ball: Daima yet. However, we anticipate that long-running prominent performers such as Masako Nozawa, Sean Schemmel, Ryo Horikawa, and Christopher Sabat will return.
We are confident that more characters will be revealed soon. And, based on a Dragon Ball: Daima trailer, we know that old favourites like Majin Buu will return to the franchise in some manner. Stay tuned for developments!

What will Dragon Ball Super Season 2 be about?
If confirmed, the story will revolve around Pan and a new batch of Z Fighters. However, we do know that Super’s follow-up series, Dragon Ball: Daima, will tell a new story about Goku and the group becoming youngsters.
So let’s look at each of these examples. If Dragon Ball Super Season 2 is announced, Pan’s exploits will continue as they were at the end of Super Hero. Goten and Trunks are ready to train again alongside Gohan and Piccolo, and we have some new heroes to introduce. Meanwhile, Broly and Beerus are exercising alongside Goku and Vegeta.
All we need to know is which of the best anime villains will show up to put everyone’s strength to the test. Broly and Beerus are gone, but the manga introduces new opponents, such as the ancient magician Moro, the arrogant Granolah, and the cunning Heaters. Even worse, we know Frieza has been training and may have reached a new level of power.
However, if Dragon Ball: Daima is the only sequel to the Super series, we should expect the franchise to take a different direction. A small teaser released suggests that Daima will take place before the events, as we witness a strange new individual observing the Majin Buu arc. Goku and Vegeta are alive.
The trailer also shows Goku and his pals being transformed into children, which we believe will be a big plot point as they try to figure out what happened to them and how to return to normal. We’ll keep you updated as additional information about the anime becomes available.
A teaser for Dragon Ball: Daima was released in October 2023.
In the video, we see Vegeta, Goku, Bulma, and other characters transformed into young children. Majin Buu appears alongside Babidi, and there are lots of battles and space pranks on display as well.
While it is not a Super Season 2 trailer, this clip represents the next stage in the franchise, so watch it below!
